Karl Brownis the Director of Community Education for Mounds View Public Schools, bringing a background as a math and science teacher, building administrator, and former Director of Technology and Community Education. A lifelong learner, Karl bridges school district leadership with state-level clean energy initiatives.

In the renewable space, Karl has led the deployment of Solar for Schools PV projects across 13 district facilities in close partnership with the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Innovative Power Systems, New Energy Equity, TruNorth Solar and iSolar, including successful participation in the recent second round of state grant funding. His experience also includes geothermal installations across three district schools and solar thermal and PV integration at Laurentian Environmental Center in MN.
