Katie Frye is Director of Distribution Programs and Customer Support at Minnesota Power, bringing nearly 15 years of utility-industry experience. Throughout her career, she has led and supported a wide range of customer programs, including energy efficiency initiatives, renewable energy offerings, and electric vehicle (EV) programs designed to help customers manage energy use and support the clean energy transition. Over the past two years, Katie has focused on distribution operations, with particular emphasis on Minnesota Power’s integrated distribution planning efforts and the evolving role of distributed energy resources (DERs). Her work centers on understanding how customer programs interact with and impact the distribution system, helping align customer needs, grid investments, and long-term energy planning objectives.
