Sean Schneider is Transportation Director for Moorhead Area Public Schools. He oversees the district’s student transportation system, including daily bus operations, routing and scheduling, and fleet management, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliable service for thousands of student riders. He also leads the development and implementation of systems and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support safe, consistent transportation services.

With more than 13 years of experience in transportation and logistics, Schneider has deep expertise in managing complex school transportation systems. His background includes school bus operations, large-scale routing optimization, fleet oversight, and team leadership in highly regulated environments. Prior to joining Moorhead Area Public Schools, he worked for a major Class I railroad managing train operations and in the municipal and heavy highway road construction industry, where he gained extensive experience in transportation operations, infrastructure coordination, and logistics management. He is focused on building high-performing teams and improving performance across all areas of student transportation.

Schneider has a strong track record of applying data-driven decision-making to improve routing efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance safety outcomes. He works closely with school leadership and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated, dependable transportation services that support student success.

He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Dakota.
